Abstract

Twitter is a commonly used at large medical conferences to capture social events, promote discussions among attendees and expand professional networks. The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Annual Vascular Meeting (VAM) and the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) have used unique hashtags on Twitter for the last several years. We hypothesize that there will be discrete differences in the use of Twitter by these two large procedural specialties.
