Abstract

This paper presents results of the analysis of reasons for crack in the side wall of an oil tank in the hydraulic system. The results of both non-destructive and destructive testing and MES simulation were described. The crack reasons were assessed. Recommendations for the operating conditions of the tank and proposals for changes in its construction to prevent cracking in the future were presented.
