Abstract

Objective To investigate the present situation of nurses' low back pain in a level of first-class hospital, and analyze its factors, so as to provide theoretical basis for prevention of nurses' low back pain. Methods Based on the cross-sectional survey, a total of 215 nurses from a first-class hospital were investigated with the nurses' low back pain general information questionnaire. Results The incidence of low back pain in a month was 21.83%, and the incidence of low back pain in a year was 58.88%.The incidence of low back pain in a year was related to gender, working time, the average number of the nursed patient, duty type and handling tools.The female, the longer working time, the more nursed patient, the more frequent APN duty type and without handling tool, the higher incidence of low back pain (P≤0.05). Conclusions The nursing staff have a high incidence of low back pain, and there is a trend of getting yonger.The incidence of low back pain has a great deal with whether they have working protection.So nurses' awareness about prevention of low back pain need to be improved and the nursing protection strategy of low back pain need to be enhanced.
