Analysis of the principle of mechanical transmissions and their advantages and disadvantages

Abstract

As the proportion of cars in our lives gradually increases, the proportion of cars in the market also gradually increases. How to make it an efficient transportation is the problem we need to consider as well as solve. In order to study the improvement direction of the three transmissions (MT, AT, CVT) which are more common in the market, this paper uses the internet to collect and integrate the information, from the structure and principles of the transmission as the research direction, to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the transmission so as to find out the areas that can be improved. It was found that MT gearboxes offer a higher degree of freedom than AT gearboxes, but the more complex driving conditions in the city can lead to frequent gear changes in MT gearboxes, thus affecting the driver's attention to a certain extent.
