Abstract
In the Russian Federation the market of functional foodstuffs is gradually forming. Production develops in the following directions: vitaminized foodstuff, functional drinks and dietary food additives. The government of the Russian Federation sets the task of increase of production vol-umes of functional products to 40-50 % of the total amount of production that will lead to growth of the population life expectancy and raise its quality.
