Abstract

1. All the vapors displaced from the free volume between the catalyst particles and from their pores exceed by 10–15 times the weight loss of the catalyst due to desorption of hydrocarbons from the surface and to calcining of the coke. 2. The article proposes a device which increases the efficiency of the displacement of petroleum vapors from a stream of fluidized catalyst with a simultaneous decrease in the consumption of the displacing agent, i.e., water vapor.
