Abstract
The article deals with a two-section superposed parametric eddy-current transducer (ECT), with winding sections connected in opposition. The article substantiates its application, presents theoretical dependences, analyzes special features of operation. Recommendations are given for its practical use. The advantages of the two-section ECT made it possible to use it successfully in an installation for the inspection of the butt-welding of thin-walled products made of ferromagnetic materials with a strong constant magnetizing field. Determination of the insertion impedance of a turn due to a flaw in the conducting medium by known dependences makes it possible to construct hodographs for two-section ECT in the inspection of products containing flaws.
