Abstract

Fashion, an enduring aspect of human self-expression and identity, has witnessed a recent transformation: the emergence of the minimalist wardrobe trend championed by high-tech CEOs. This paper delves into the motivations behind why individuals, who possess virtually limitless clothing options, opt for a minimalist approach. Through four distinct case studies, we explore the profound impact of this choice on both personal well-being and environmental sustainability. This study underscores the remarkable influence wielded by these CEOs, extending beyond the realms of technology and innovation into the fashion landscape. Their preference for minimalism extends beyond personal taste. Prioritizing longevity and versatility in clothing selection, these visionary leaders communicate a compelling message to their peers, employees, and followers, catalyzing a shift in sartorial norms. However, its important to acknowledge the limitations of this study, which focuses exclusively on a subset of high-tech CEOs and their specific fashion choices. Future research should broaden its scope to encompass diverse industries and leadership styles. Additionally, while this study addresses the ecological dimensions of minimalist wardrobes, further exploration into their broader socio-cultural implications is necessary for a comprehensive understanding of this multifaceted trends influence.
