Abstract

With the rapid growth of the Internet, social media has become one of the most important means of disseminating information online. Social media platforms have become an important part of producing and disseminating information online because of their low threshold, speed, and efficiency. This research analyses the current state of cosmetic marketing methods in modern social media and identifies the advantages and disadvantages of social media. The success or failure of social media marketing is directly related to the overall effectiveness of the company's marketing, so it is crucial to study the social media marketing strategy of cosmetics companies. This paper therefore examines beauty campaigns on social media platforms in China and identifies some of the problems that exist, mainly in terms of the lack of marketing appeal, the lack of attention to brand promotion, and the lack of interaction with consumers. This research will help to systematise the theoretical knowledge of social media marketing concepts, enrich the theoretical findings of beauty companies on social media marketing, and provide some references for Chinese beauty companies to develop social media.
