Abstract

The study contains the results of the competitive analysis of the company X5 Retail Group based on the 2017 year data and is based on Porter five forces analysis. In the course of the work, such aspects of the company’s activities as logistics, opening new points, strategies of promoting and attracting customers were analyzed. The results of the study were consolidated in the SWOT-matrix format for the company, identifying the potential strengths of the company, as well as the risks it may face while maintaining the existing market share or expanding it. The study is relevant due to the ongoing process of the strengthening the X5 Retail Group company in recent years, which is emerging on the leading positions in Russian retail market, and therefore is of interest to specialists in the fields of management, economics and business law.
