Abstract

Plexin receptors are involved in cell migration in cardiovascular and neuronal development, disease, and regeneration. Moreover, Plexins are also involved with higher brain functions, memory, and learning. The Collapsin Response Mediator Protein-2 (CRMP2) is a Plexin cytoplasmic binding partner and has been associated with various neuronal injuries and diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The intracellular region of Plexin is known to interact directly with CRMP and the kinase Fyn. The Fyn-Plexin-CRMP association can then form bigger complexes with other kinases.
