Abstract
With the vigorous development of China’s digital economy and the deepening of financial inclusion, the impact of digital inclusive finance on urban innovation efficiency will be more prominent. This paper studies the influence and internal mechanism of digital inclusive finance on urban innovation by establishing an empirical model. An empirical test is conducted based on the panel data of 283 cities at prefecture level and above from 2013 to 2018. The results show that: first, compared with traditional finance, digital inclusive finance has a more significant impact on the improvement of urban innovation efficiency, and the results are still valid after a series of robustness tests and endogenous treatment. second, the building of urban core industrial advantages is an important channel for digital inclusive finance to affect the improvement of urban innovation efficiency. Third, the above effects have a certain degree of temporal and spatial heterogeneity, especially in 2016, especially in coastal cities, near port cities and big cities.
