Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the impact that meeting LEED certification criteria hason the calculated energy performance of a building based on Polish regulations regarding themethodology for determining the energy performance of a building, taking into account thetechnical modernization that affects the final result of the analysis. Calculations were carried outon the example of an office building. The analysis covered scope that combines LEED certificationand energy performance, such as water use and indoor lighting. The calculations were made ina program designed for energy performance calculations. The use of energy-saving lamps (46%lower energy use in relation to standard lamps) or fittings limiting the water flow from the tap(26% lower water use) did have a positive impact on the final calculation of post-modificationenergy performance, according to which the demand for primary energy was reduced by 36%.The static analysis was performed using commercial software for preparing energy performancecertificates and on the basis of formal guidelines set out by the LEED certification.
