Abstract

At present, at least 300000 elevators have been in service in China for more than 15 years. Limited by design concept, manufacturing standard and installation level at that time, coupled with the aging of circuit and wear of mechanical parts caused by long-term use, many old elevators have potential safety hazards. This paper analyzes three elevator cases and points out the potential safety hazards. In the first case, the brake clip spring falls off, resulting in the risk that the brake cannot be opened or closed. In the second case, the door lock does not meet the requirements of the standard, there is a risk that the landing door is open and the elevator can operate. In the third case, the spring in the wire rope connecting device is broken, which causes the elevator to vibrate abnormally during operation. In order to eliminate these hidden dangers, this paper provides some suggestions for reference.
