Analysis of the field current after three-phase sudden short-circuit of turbogenerators using equivalent circuits

Abstract

An analysis of the influence of equivalent circuits which represent the phenomena occuring in the solid rotor of a turbogenerator on the waveform of the field current at three-phase sudden short-circuit has been performed. The results have been compared with the waveform of the field current determined on the basis of electromagnetic field theory with the use of Fourier's inverse transformation, and differences have been discussed.
