Abstract
Multiphysics analyses are proposed for studying the sound pressure level and total harmonic distortion in a balanced armature receiver by using the finite element method and boundary element method while considering the mechanical-acoustic coupling effect and electromagnetic-mechanical coupling effect. Three design variables of an electromagnetic circuit were selected to analyze the effects on the sound pressure level and total harmonic distortion, and the optimal design was identified by using the response surface methodology.
