Analysis of the effect of logistics efficiency in ASEAN+3 countries on the trade of agri-foods in Korea

Abstract

최근 코로나19환경하에서도 우리나라 농식품 수출은 지속적인 성장추이를 보이고 있다. 농식품 수출은 국가 전체 교역분야에서 낮은 비중을 차지하고 있지만, 다른 부문의 수출규모에 비해 성장속도 및 규모는 매우 빠른 성장추이를 보이고 있다는 점이 주목되고 있다. 우리나라 농식품 수출은 국내 생산잉여를 중심으로 이루어졌지만 무역자유화로 인한 시장개방으로 인해 고품질 전략상품 개발과 해외시장 맞춤형 품목개발을 통한 수출확대 전략으로 변화하였다. 오늘날 농식품 수출분야는 제품개발과 고품질 유지라는 차원을 넘어 농식품의 특성인 신선과 안전을 유지하여 최종 소비자의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 새로운 인식 전환이 필요한 시점이다. 이에 농식품의 국가간 이동을 효율적으로 다룰 수 있는물류분야의 역할이 점차 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 ASEAN의 주요국과 전통적으로 우리 농식품 수출시장인 3개국을 대상으로 우리 농식품수출에 미치는 물류효율화의 효과 분석을 실시하고자 한다. 그리고 실증분석 결과를 바탕으로 농식품 수출의 새로운 도약을 위한 물류효율화 추진의 필요성을 시사점으로 제시하고자 한다.Recently, even under the COVID-19 environment, Korea s agri-food exports are showing a continuous growth trend. Agricultural and food exports still account for a small portion of the national trade sector, but it is noteworthy that the pace and scale of growth are showing a very rapid growth trend compared to other sectors. Korea s agri-food exports were traditionally limited to exports of remaining products after production, but gradually developed high-quality strategic products to expand the export market, including exploring new markets, and products tailored to overseas market demand have gradually increased. Now, it is time for the agri-food export sector to change its perception to increase the satisfaction of final consumers by maintaining freshness and safety, which are characteristics of agri-food beyond product development and high quality maintenance. Accordingly, the role of the logistics field dealing with the movement of agri-food between countries is gradually increasing. This study is a major country of ASEAN, Japan, and China, traditionally Korean agri-food export markets. We would like to analyze the effects of logistics efficiency on Korean agri-food exports to the United States. And based on the results of the empirical analysis, I would like to present the necessity of promoting logistics efficiency for a new leap forward in agri-food exports as an implication.
