Abstract

The results from analyzing the academic achievement and dropout of different types of high schools such as regular high schools, autonomous high schools and specialized high schools, there is a significant effect when comparing national levels of academic achievement. The trend is similar in rates of academic achievement and dropout. Therefore among specialized high schools, foreign language high schools, science high schools, international high schools, and autonomous high schools can be seen as positive effect on the performance of the schools. These conclusions were drawn from 2 years worth of cumulative evaluation results from high schools with their geographical and environmental characteristics controlled. This means the academic achievement of specialty high schools and autonomous high school is consistently higher nationwide compared to regular high schools and other types of high schools.
