Abstract
The aim of the article is to discuss the economic benefits resulting from thermomodernization projects on the example of a selected housing substance. The verification of the following research hypothesis was used to achieve this goal. Thermo-modernization processes play a key role in the implementation of housing policy, because they can lead to a reduction inenergy consumption and operation costs. Achieving this task required the use of appropriate research methods and techniques, such as: analysis of available literature sources, methods of induction and deduction, and conducting a numerical experiment in order to assess the economic efficiency of thermo-modernization projects.Direct recipients of research results outside housing cooperatives, which at the present stage are considering the need to implement thermo-modernization projects, may also be local government authorities and their subordinate units.
