Abstract
This paper aims to demonstrate an analysis of distributed generation (DG) as a voltage and reactive power control (volt/var control) equipment in a distribution test system. To accomplish that, it was used the frequency inverter of the photovoltaic generation system as a control equipment to operate together with traditional equipment that usually plays as voltage control. The software OpenDSS (Open Distribution System Simulator) was used to reach the results with the IEEE 13-bus standard test system.
