The study and analysis of literary sources resulted in the systematization of materials on the formation of the elements that make up the traditional Kyrgyz women’s national costume. It was revealed that despite the economic and cultural backwardness, aggravated by the heavy oppression of the feudal lords and constant struggle with external enemies, the Kyrgyz people reached a high level of art, carefully preserving their cultural traditions. On their basis, a single folk style was created, the characteristic features of which were simplicity, rigor, expressiveness of artistic forms and originality.
