Abstract

The number of women artists in Indonesia in 2010 - 2020 increased significantly. This is proof that the works of Indonesian women artists have been appreciated in the social art field both nationally and internationally. This paper analyzes video art by Indonesian women artists. Furthermore, the aesthetic value of the work of the woman artist is analyzed. The method used is a qualitative method with feminist art theory, creativity, and art criticism. Based on the analysis, it can be seen that the video art works of Indonesian women artists are divided into two, namely women artists who work with video art media and women artists who make documentation of their performance art works into video art works. Their work shows a high level of creativity from the theme and visualization of their work. Keywords: women artists, technology, video art.
