Abstract

Characteristics of sediment formation on the wall of a rotor are investigated with consideration of physicomechanical and geometric parameters of centrifugal separation of finely disperse particles in the rotor of a tubular liquid centrifuge, as well as synthetic process-efficiency indicators. Conditions for optimization of centrifuge performance are substantiated. A numerical experiment was conducted to allow for analysis of sedimentation parameters of the suspension in the effective volume of the centrifuge, which approach those under actual conditions.
