Abstract

Objective To learn the health status of clinical nurses and its related factors. Methods 136 clinical nurses were investigated with Sub-health Prescriptive Screening, Perceived Social Support Scale, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, Nurse's Work Pressure Scale. Results 91.18% nurses were in sub-health status, the score of sub-health symptom was (9.12±5.02 ), the most common one was fatigue (79.41%), there were positive relation between score of sub-health and nurses' age, working years, the total score of social support, internal support external support and positive coping style, professional and working pressure, workload, time allocation, working environment and resource. Conduslons The incidence of sub-health is high among nurses, the older, the longer the working years the nurses are, the severe the sub-health is. The main reason influencing of their sub-health is their working pressure. Social support is helpful to improve nurses's sub-health status. Administrators should address nurses' physical and psychological health, to guarantee nursing quality. Key words: Nurse; Sub-health ; Social support; Adaptation ; Psychology; Questionnaire
