Abstract

An efficient scheme is proposed for the analysis of free standing guyed structures subjected to random wind loading, by using the transfer matrix or numerical integration methods in the frequency domain. Although the formulation is particularly suitable in the case discussed, it may also be applied in connection with other methods for determining structural response. An example is given of the generation of the longitudinal fluctuating wind velocity component at points located along a 50 m stretch.
