Abstract
We investigate the steady-state properties of cascaded stimulated Brillouin scattering (CSBS) in a fiber Fabry-Perot resonator with reflection mirrors by numerically solving the coupled-power equations under the boundary conditions at the two mirrors. The dependence of CSBS on the input power is calculated for the symmetric and asymmetric fiber resonators. The threshold powers for the first- and second-order Stokes waves are calculated as a function of the mirror reflectance for the symmetric resonator.
