Abstract

We report measurements of the intensity and linewidth of the light quasielastically scattered from a binary critical mixture of n-hexane and nitrobenzene along various constant-concentration paths. The agreement between the intensity data and the scaling theory for the static quantities, and of the linewidth data with the dynamic-mode coupling theory for the transport coefficients and for the decay rate of the order parameter, including background effects, is very good.
