Abstract
At present, a lot of work has been done to improve hunting and sports smoothbore cartridges. Much attention is paid to increasing the speed of the shot projectile without increasing the maximum pressure of the powder gases during the shot. The article analyzes the stability of the initial speed of the shot of modern hunting and sporting smoothbore cartridges.
