Abstract

Perpendicular and parallel ac susceptibilities of Cr 0.67Mn 0.33Ge were measured in several values of the dc magnetic field up to 450 Oe. The de Almeida and Thouless like spin freezing were perceptible in both susceptibilities, while any evidences for the Gabay-Toulouse line were not obtained. The magnetic anisotropy, evaluated on the basis of both susceptibilities at temperatures below spin freezing temperature, showed more rapid change with decreasing temperature than that expected for other conventional spin glass systems. The scaling parameters γ, δ and β, determined from the parallel ac susceptibility just above the spin freezing temperature, satisfy the scaling relation, while the scaling function approaches to a form different from the expected one at low field limit. The present analysis leads us to conclude that the magnetic anisotropy with spin clustering plays a significant role in spin glass freezing process of Cr 0.67Mn 0.33Ge.
