Abstract

One of the essential components of a wireless high-power transfer system for heavy-duty electric vehicles is the inductive coupler. The efficiency of the wireless power transfer system strongly depends on the geometric parameters of the inductive coupler, which in turn have an important effect on the electromagnetic parameters of the whole system. The transmitting (Tx) and receiving (Rx) coils of the inductive coupler proposed in this paper have a Double-D planar structure and are located on magnetic cores made of magnetic concrete (Tx) and ferrite (Rx), respectively. The study of the parameters of the inductive coupler was carried out with the help of the finite element method, using the Flux ® field calculation software package.
