Abstract

The experimental results from BaBar, Belle, and LHCb direct us to look for various new physics scenarios beyond the standard model. The observed b-physics anomalies in the b→cτ−ν¯τ transitions motivate the study of decays with similar quark-level transitions. In this work, we focus on these transitions, particularly examining the semileptonic b-baryon Ωb→Ωc(⁎)τ−ν¯τ and Ξb′→Ξc′(⁎)τ−ν¯τ decay modes. We take into account the general effective Hamiltonian for b→cℓν¯ℓ transitions which incorporates new physics contributions into the standard model. We explore the q2-dependency of different observables, such as the differential branching fraction, ratio of branching fractions, forward-backward asymmetry, convexity parameter, and longitudinal polarization of the charged lepton, related to these decay processes in the standard model and beyond.
