Abstract

The variation of soil parameters influences on slope stability. Use the oblique slices method to get the safety factor FS, then use the first order second moment method technology to establish the limit state performance function of slope stability reliability analysis, and get the reliability indicator  by reliability analysis. This can explore the influence of the mean value of soil random variables’ cohesion, internal friction angle and soil density and variation coefficient on its reliability index, and the results show that the soil with low discreteness can get high reliability index, and vice versa, which provides a theoretical basis for people to distinguish the slope stability.
