Abstract

In this work we present an analysis of phase singularities in Laguerre-Gaussian beams. The cases to be analyzed are static and dynamic singularities. We consider the composition of canonical and kinetic currents around the singularities and velocities on each momentum state. We compare the behavior of time-dependent and stationary systems. We obtain the topological charge numbers that characterize the rotation of currents around the singularities. Finally, we present some analytical and numerical results to illustrate our model.
