Abstract

In co-authorship networks analysis, we may find many interesting tasks. The goals of networks analysis are: studying network structure, detecting communities and their evolution over time, identifying significant authors and relations, and many others. This tutorial is focused on analytical approaches applicable on analysis of co-authorship networks. Mainly three different directions are presented; weighting authors and relations over time, detection and evolution of small communities, and analysis of the evolution of research topics of individual authors.
