Abstract

With the rapid expansion of the Internet and media in the present era, an increasing number of individuals like to relax by viewing a movie in their leisure time. People prefer to watch short videos rather than long movies, thanks to the rapid increase of short videos and self-media. This study investigates the motivators that drive short filmmakers to create each short film, as well as the real reasons why directors choose to make short films. Exploring the stories behind short films is critical for the future of short films. As they move forward, filmmakers should discover the core of existence from the past, rather than filming for the sake of shooting. In addition to exploring filmmakers, this paper conducts some audience research while viewing short films in order to explore the impact of audience behavior on the development of the entire short film business.
