Abstract

In present economic situation large industrial enterprises increase their own power capacities in order to reduce the cost of electricity and improve the reliability of electric power supply. This leads to complication of possible emergency modes accompanied by separate operation of the power plant. For the analysis of such modes an algorithm of calculation of transient is developed using the method of numerical integration taking into account load dynamic characteristics. The peculiarity of the algorithm is the consideration of the mutual asynchronous power of synchronous generators and motors in the mode of separate operation. To calculate these values a well-known method of superposition is applied. An algorithm of dynamic load characteristics calculation is developed. In order to develop measures aimed at improving the stability and trouble-free operation of synchronous machines the software is developed. As the modes under study three-phase short-circuit on the grid connection bus are selected with a subsequent separate operation with and without accounting for the dynamic characteristics of the load. Practical evaluation of the software is given in reference to an industrial power plant with a complex electrical network which includes six generators with a total installed capacity of 300 MW.
