Abstract

Objective To characterize serum adiponectin( ADPN), leptin and resistin levels in pa tients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis (MHD), analyzed the correlation with ADPN, leptin, resistin and other factors. Methods We measured serum ADPN, leptin, resistin, albumin and lipide in 79 MHD patents and 16 healthy individuals. Results Serum TG, ADPN, leptin and, resistin levels of MHD patients were signif icantly higher than that of the healthy individuals [TG(1.9±0.9) mmol/L vs (1.4 ±0.5) mmol/L. ADPN (14±9) mg/Lvs(6±4) mg/L, leptin (105 ± 109)μg/L vs (52 ± 19)μg/L, resistin (0.89± 0.33) ng/ml vs (0.44 ± 0.20) ng/ml( P < 0.05) ]; however, albumin and HDL were significantly lower than that of the healthy individuals. Multiple regression analysis showed that BMI, HDL and WHR were the independent factors of ADPN.Gender ang BMI were the independent factors of leptin. Resistin had no correlation with all factors. ADPN was negative correlated with leptin. Conclusion The ADPN ,leptin and resistin level are significantly increased in MHD. ADPN and leptin may link with nutation ,liparoid metabolism and cardiovas cular diseases. Key words: Hemodialysis; Adiponectin; Leptin; Resistin
