Abstract

The seismic response of single piles in liquefiable ground is investigated in this chapter by conducting centrifuge shaking table tests and numerical simulations. Typical setups of single piles in liquefiable ground is studied to enhance the understanding of the major influence factors on the behaviour of piles in liquefiable ground, and the dynamic coupling of structure-pile inertial interaction and soil-pile kinematic interaction.
