Abstract

Abstract An essential basis for the development of software for safety–critical systems is to establish high–quality requirements specitications. In this paper we present an approach which facilitates systematic analysis for software requirements, emphasizing how the safety aspects of the system are incorporated into the software requirements. To illustrate the approach a case study, based on a chemical batch processing system, is developed.
