Abstract

An experimental analysis of magnetization-dependent Preisach models has shown that the reversible component of the magnetization is both magnetization and field dependent. It was found that, for an asymmetrical magnetizing process, the experimentally observed reversible susceptibility is not an even function of magnetization, as calculated by previous models for reversible magnetization. A new model, compatible with the moving model for irreversible magnetization, which is particulate in nature, is presented for reversible magnetization and its ensuing susceptibility.
