Abstract
The possibilities to obtain parameters of excited electronic states by coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy are discussed. For the method of excitation profile analysis the experimental values have to be correctet with respect to absorption of the excitation and Raman radiations. Equivalent parameters can be obtained by an analysis of the line shapes of CARS lines without a corresponding correction.
