Abstract

In this paper, we use bibliometrics methods to search the core journal articles related to chronic diseases of the elderly at home and abroad from 2000 to 2021. CiteSpace software is used to conduct multi-dimensional scale analysis of the number of published papers, authors, institutions, and journal cooperation, conduct co-occurrence analysis of high-frequency keywords and mutation detection words, and to draw a visual relationship map to explore the current status and development trend of research in the field of chronic diseases in the elderly at home and abroad in recent years. The results show that the amount of literature published in this field has increased in the past 21 years, the main force of research is universities and hospitals, and a complete cooperation network architecture has not been formed between scholars and institutions at home and abroad. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, memory impairment and lung disease will be the research hotspots of chronic diseases in the future. Cooperation and communication among various teams and organizations should be strengthened to promote the continuous development and improvement of chronic disease research.
