Abstract

This paper analyzes different perspectives used in different models to assess the impact of online learning ecosystems in order to support the decision to make an investment of resources in any context. By means of an analysis of the scenario, it is possible to detect factors of influence that allow not only to evaluate the ecosystems in the financial area, but also can be carried out in a social environment and even determining affective aspects. The application of heat maps has helped to determine that the analyzed models focus their interest in evaluating the student but not in determining their interest, well-being and compliance with their expectations, which are important factors to later measure the return on investment (ROI). From the representation of the heat map, it is possible to determine which areas are being analyzed and which are not. This will allow us to focus on a new model that considers how to improve those deficiencies.
