Abstract

In order to better understand and interpret the target radar detection echo data and lay a good foundation for the subsequent accurate imaging, it is necessary to fully study and analyze the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the target. The finite-difference time-domain method is widely used in the research of electromagnetic scattering characteristics of targets, because of its flexible and convenient modeling, high accuracy of calculation. The parameters of the target medium are important parameters that affect the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the target. In this paper, a finite difference time domain model for radar detection of rectangular targets with different medium parameters is established. Through numerical calculation, the influence of medium parameters on radar echo characteristics is analyzed, which provides a theoretical basis for the determination of medium parameters in target radar detection.
