Abstract

The analysis for quality decisions focuses on the tradeoff between product failure cost and prevention cost. The optimum quality level is assumed to be at the minimum point on the total cost curve. It is difficult to quantify the cost curves for quality control decisions. The presented study includes a model to figure the point of optimum quality level. A sensitivity analysis for the effect of various parameters on the optimum level is done.
