Abstract

Since the second half of 2021, the world has seen prominent contradiction between energy supply and demand, rising energy prices, and energy shortages first in Europe and then around the globe. From the end of September to the end of October, many parts of India were plagued by supply and demand imbalances and some suffered long power outages, which impaired economic recovery to some extent. This paper screened out the basic situation of tight power supply and demand in India, analyzed the direct reasons such as higher-than-expected power demand and insufficient power supply capacity, as well as the deep-seated reasons such as power supply structure, power grid construction and operation, power system and mechanism, judged the impact and development trend, carried out international comparison and enlightenment analysis, and put forward relevant suggestions for the development of China’s power grid.
