Abstract

The theoretical aspects of the electrocrystallization on an inert electrode under potentiostatic conditions are considered. The common growth theory of a single new-phase nucleus is analyzed. Two theoretical approaches to the mathematical description of 3D multiple nucleation with diffusion or kinetic controlled growth and their basic assumptions are discussed. Significant differences between above mechanisms of phase formation illustrates in detail. The formulas for obtaining the main nucleation and growth parameters in these models are given.
