Abstract

Tuning non-integer order controllers is one of the problems in modern control theory. One of the questions which need addressing is how to calculate performance indicator without finding the solution of the non-integer order system. This paper shows how to calculate the indicators using Laguerre Impulse Response Approximation method along with optimization algorithm. We show theoretical analysis of three performance indicators: linear, quadratic and quartic performance indicator. Finally, we present the optimization method which includes stability analysis of non-integer order system in order to ensure convergence. In the last section we show simulation results for RC ladder system system with non-integer order PDα controller. The paper ends with discussion and proposition of future works.
