Abstract

This paper presents concept of the optimum virtual for MPI based parallel FDTD. A new type of base station antenna is simulated with parallel FDTD code developed by our group earlier on a PC cluster with high performance. Then, influence of different virtual topology schemes on parallel performance of parallel FDTD is studied in detail. Finally general rules are presented on how to obtain highest efficiency of parallel FDTD algorithm by optimizing MPI virtual topology.
