Abstract

It was determined a relation between peaks of optical absorption and diameters of the quantum dots of CdS which permits to determine experimentally these diameters, and with this relation is used to determine the blueshift. Photoacoustic and optical spectra data of CdS quantum dots were analyzed. For this it was using the model of the Coordinates of Configuration. This model is applied under the condition of strongquantum confinement allowing to visualize the process of absorption and emission of photons and generation of phonons. It was determined the Huang-Rhys factor and the result indicates the type of coupling between the phonon and the quantum dot. Stokes shift was explained on the basis of the model of the Coordinates of Configuration. Recommendations are given for the resolution of photoacoustic spectra and requirements in optimization in measuring equipment for optical spectra.
